How is this different from a photo book?
A photo book prints your photos. A PortraitPals book is a 32-page illustrated story with your child painted in as the main character on every page.
What photo works best?
One photo of just your child: head and shoulders in the frame, with the whole face, hair and chin visible, in good light and looking at the camera. A normal phone photo is perfect.
Can I change a page I don't like?
Yes. After checkout you get a private draft link, and you can request redraws of any page until it's right — before anything is printed.
What sizes and formats are there?
A digital copy (full PDF, delivered within 24 hours), or a printed 8.5″ casewrap hardcover with the digital copy included, shipped to your door.
What ages is it for?
The books are made for children aged 4 to 10.
Is my child's photo safe?
Every page is painted on hardware we own — the photo is never sent to a cloud AI service or any third party. It is used only to make the book and permanently deleted once your book is delivered, or within 3 days if an order is never completed. The finished book file is deleted 7 days after delivery.
